My Summer is officially over, but that’s ok. I returned to school today and enjoyed the time just reflecting on the upcoming school year.
It will be a year filled with major transition, primarily in school leadership, and that too is also ok.
Amid this shift, I am a bit excited about what the year holds.
No longer am I the new kid on the block, figuring things out and watching from the sidelines.
I now hold that familiar and trusting face to both children and parents which makes my job easier and keeps stress at bay.
There is truly something to be said about persevering through the school year, having a month to catch your breath, and then going back for more.
Despite the anguish and exhaustion felt in June, we return.
Because somewhere, we believe we make a difference.
And as long as we believe that, we will.
